Cooking with Jo
I’m Jo and I’m the nursery cook.
I have worked in early years for the past 17yrs which included being a nursery nurse for 10yrs before working within the local children’s centres as an early years worker and most recently a family support worker. During my time as a family support worker I had the opportunity to train in several different parenting courses which enabled me to facilitate these to many families. These included, HEY! (Healthy eating in early years), Incredible Years which is a positive parenting programme as well as You and me mum and The Freedom programme both of which are the courses about the signs of domestic abuse and the impact it has on children.
This role is a whole new adventure for me and I am enjoying each and everyday.
I have 2 daughters Maisie who is 9yrs and Evie who is 3yrs. We love the outdoors and love nothing more than putting our wellies on and finding some big muddy puddles to jump in!
I love to spend quality family time making new memories and also love to play netball on a weekly basis.
We have our own allotment where we grow all types of vegetables. As a family we love to plant all different varieties of vegetables and then when ready, we harvest them and use them to make make delicious meals.
